RANDOM COVID TESTING IS REQUIRED FOR ALL CUNY EMPLOYEES AND STUDENTS: VACCINATED OR NOT.

  • The email will be sent to the address that you selected as 鈥減referred鈥 in your CUNYFirst account, so it is important to be diligent about checking all your emails regularly.

  • If you do not report for the COVID-19 testing at a CUNY testing site location within the timeframe specified, your access pass to campus will be paused and you will not be able to report to classes or offices until a negative test result is given.

  • Remote-Only Students Must be Vaccinated to Be on Campus. I am amending the policy that permitted unvaccinated students to visit campuses if they showed proof of a negative COVID test. Effective October 21, All students taking remote-only classes who wish to visit a campus at any point for any reason must be fully vaccinated and have their vaccination documents approved in 鈥 unless they have been granted a religious exception or a medical exemption. The only other exception to this change is that I have asked campus leaders to accommodate students who need to access emergency services on campus, such as food pantries and mental health services. As always, we might modify this policy as necessitated by changing public health conditions. More information about CUNY鈥檚 vaccination mandate can be found in  and for help uploading, please click

  • Please note we will get messaging from the Chancellor/President about the new requirements for COVID for Spring regarding boosters.
